A little problem

Post by ASP1978 »

Hello
I also wrote on the MA forum about this

I am doing exactly what you are doing in the video but it's not working.
The Bernd Ott's software does not recognize the MA OnPC.
When I go to the settings/network protocols and I dis-activate and reactivate the "Artnet Input Active" button than the Bernd Ott's software
recognize the MA OnPC but only for a little while and than it get lost again.
Any idea why this is happening?

Hi, most problems are:
* not assigned art-net ip to you current using network card.
* on laptops: network maybe disabled if no cable is connected
* firewalls
* onPC uses wrong networkcard

bomac does not required to see the onPC. you can use broadcast adresses for artnet (2.255.255.255 or 10.255.255.255 / depending on your settings)
but "not see" points to a configuration problem.

I have no experience with mac's.
Maybe the emulation of the network works different.

Did you try the broadcast adress? this fixes lots of problems. The onpc does not need to showup in bomac, to get it work.
Did you start a session in gma?
Did you created a separated input art-net universe in gma?
