Hello
I just started using the midi to art net
my problem is the assignment to the DMX
i want to save that note 0 will always be dmx 1 and so on
i saw that i need to send the midi notes by order so that they will be assigned in the right order , that this is sucks to do it this way
so if you have another idea please tell me
and the other problem is when i save the project , and open it later , my saved assignment midi device won't get the notes and when i open a new art net device i can choose the midi device that i worked with but it doesnt work on the assignment that i saved
How to save a midi note to the same dmx even if i restart the program
Re: How to save a midi note to the same dmx even if i restart the program
You can modify the dmx-channel after learning.
Just double click an event.
I don't get the second part of your message. Can you explain it more, please.

Re: How to save a midi note to the same dmx even if i restart the program
Some midi devices with unlucky programmed drivers get locked if they get accessed by a software.
Maybe you are starting bomac as second software, in this case it's unable to open the midi device.
This scenario can happen if you are using grandma2 onpc, because they open always the first found midi device.
Could this apply to you?

NO
I HAVE CHECKED THE ONPC2
AND IT DIDNT TAKE THE MIDI DEVICE
I USED TWO DIFFERENT CABLE TO TEST IT
AND BY THE WAY
MY CONFIGURATION IS TWO BOMAC SOFTWARES AT THE SAME TIME USING TO DIFFERENT MIDI DEVICED CAUSE I NEED 8 FULL MIDI CHANNELS

You need 8 Channels of midi with full 127 different notes?
You have really more than 512 events?
I ask this because you can add as many midi devices as you want into bomac. But you are limited to one universe with 512 channels.
Running two instances of bomac on same computer at same time is a never tested scenario.
There is a small plug symbol infront of each midi device. that plug can be connected or disconnected. what does the plug show in your case?
Are you using different midi devices with DIFFERENT NAMES?
There is an limitation within bomac, which does not allow using more than one devices with same names (see homepage).
Let me recap:
You have choosen in grandma2 onpc a different midi device than you are using in the both bomac instances (or you start all bomac's first).
You are running two times bomac on the same computer.
You have loaded a project in bomac 1 which connects to midi-dev 1 and art-net universe 1
You have loaded a other project in bomac 2 which has connected to midi-dev 2 and art-net universe 2.
